Roll To Save

Design Concepts: Chris Quintana
These were the storyboards for the first few pages of Roll To Save before Chris decided to drop out. As you can see, it's pretty similar to what me and Kanra ended up going for. The big differences are that John was originally going to drive a beat up DeLorean and voice acting was going to be featured (based on my exploits) However after some brainstorming with Kanra, we decided to make John's vehicle more practical and his voice acting became various odd jobs he'd do on the side which inevitably led to being a referee in wrestling.

Roll To Save's Premature Cancellation Story

Around June 2011 (the month of my birthday no less) I received an e-mail out of the blue from Chris, informing me that he no longer could work on my comic. According to the e-mail, he couldn't find the motivation to work on it on top of the projects he was already working on. Which I totally understand of coarse. I just wish he didn't take on the job in the first place. It was two whole months of money, work and excited expectations. All for naught. Needless to say I was crushed emotionally when it happened and practically gave up for two years. Looking back, it still upsets me but not as much as before. If it weren't for him, I would never have asked Tailsteak if he wanted to work on RTS. No regrets.
